Codex Commons appeared in an early Codex conception as part of the movement from observed semantic pattern toward formal semantic representation and public publication.

Early Positioning

Codex Commons is retained as the public publication surface for accepted Codex artifacts.

The current definition is the operative definition. Earlier drafting history does not establish current governance, publication authority or operating structure.

Current Recovery

The current Codex Commons definition is a deliberate recovery and formalisation of that early intent.

Codex Commons is now defined as the governed public publication surface of the accepted Codex Layer developed through Codex Resonance. It gives selected published semantic artifacts stable identity, version, provenance, status and continuity without granting them authority inside any particular institution.

Boundary

This page does not rely on enterprise-specific history or named stewardship lineage as current Codex Commons positioning.

Codex Resonance distinguishes current publication architecture from earlier exploratory drafting history.
